Copilot
What it actually means
The model suggests while a person works, and the person keeps the final call. The name comes from aviation — where the copilot is not the one responsible for flying the plane.
What it means in the meeting
It's still your fault when it goes wrong.
What to ask back
When it suggests something wrong, who's accountable?
Why this one gets stretched
The metaphor is actually honest: a copilot genuinely doesn't hold final responsibility. The trouble is that people keep the 'you get help' half and drop the other half — accountability hasn't moved anywhere, there's just one more thing to blame.
